As a Google+ Trusted Tester I get to work with pre-release software (beta software) before it goes Public. This unique position helps me prepare others to use Hangout Tools quickly once things change... and change they do!

I travel a lot. I surf the web even more. Over the last four years I've spent time in fifteen countries and three continents making airports and hotel rooms more of a constant, for me, than home. I also spend more hours, each day, online than most people would consider to be healthy. The one stability in all this is Google+ where I can be found, time allowing, on most days. It has become my anchor.

Branding Visibility

Building your brand visibility in e-commerce can seem like a daunting task for any solo entrepreneur. Maybe there is only YOU? What can you do? As these professionals have pointed out in this interactive discussion, you start with your personal profile(s) in social media. Everyone can identify with a personality, a voice inflection and  intellectual expertise. Do you remember any of these personalities? “Dude! You’re getting a Dell®”, Flo from Progressive Insurance, Ronald McDonald of McDonalds or even the Dos Equis exceptional man… “Stay thirsty my friends”.

Cognitive Psychology

Gray727 fusiform gyrusAll of these are examples of personal branding identity in branding visibility. We are a social species. Our minds are hard-wired to remember characteristics of a specific person in the  fusiform gyrus. It is part of the temporal lobe and occipital lobe in Brodmann area 37.

Personal Branding

I describe myself across all social media as the open source evangelist. The title does not necessarily relate to computers and software. Being open and collaborative in all aspects of business is my core personal branding narrative. Your narrative might be the go-to source for Jet Ski repair parts or cheer fashion makeup. Just remember to make it consistent. Express yourself and show your potential customers that you are just like them.
